It was a snowy weekend in Park City for our U23 Pivot-Competitive Cyclist athletes!
The team kicked off the season with Team Camp this week. With the absurdly warm winter Utah has been having, we had planned on hitting the trails on our sweet new bike builds. But the weather had other plans.
A lovely February storm decided to dump snow on us all weekend. So we made the best of things, creating a unique Team Camp experience for everyone.
The athletes got the chance to visit with a lot of our awesome sponsors, visiting offices and headquarters, and learning more about the process and the products they are riding! It was three days of fun, education, and bonding.
Lori showed us around the US offices for Rotor Bike Components, and the team learned more about the Q-rings they are riding this year!
And we got to see the process behind Reynolds’ wheels:
Of course, a freezing photoshoot at the unrideable trailhead was in order.
We finished off the night with fun team-building activities, making the most of the snow and Tubing at Soldier Hollow (Home of the Soldier Hollow Pro XCT race in May!)
Sunday: before returning to their respective homes, our athletes met for an inspirational talk with Alex Grant to get mentally pumped for the upcoming season.
While it may have been unconventional, it was certainly a Team Camp to remember!
Thanks so much to all our sponsors for making this a great weekend!
We have a great group of athletes and friends here on the U23 team, and we’re excited for the season ahead! Keep an eye out for more updates and race results from us here on the blog and on Facebook as the season progresses.
