Skill Task 5/20/20
This skill is very important when riding steep and new trails. The first thing to do when approaching a steep drop/roll would be too look ahead to check the landing/bottom of the obstacle. Then you want to push your arms forward and your body weight behind the saddle of your bike. Shifting your body behind the center of the bike will help take pressure and weight off the front wheel and decreases the chance that you will crash over the bars. Once you get to the bottom of the steep drop you want to make sure your arms and legs are bend and in an athletic [position to absorb the impact of the landing. The video below is an example on the terrain and how this movement is important to be able to ride steep sections of trail smoothly and safely.
